Tablet to the Bahá’ís of Sarvistán

The Most Holy, the Most Great, the Transcendent

My beloved ones in Sarvistán,

Give ear to the call of the All-Merciful in the contingent realm, saying, None other god is there beside Him, the Almighty, the Beneficent. We have inhaled the fragrance of your love and have remembered you in this prison in which the Well-Beloved of the lands is captive. The people were awaiting My days, yet when We revealed Him Who is Mine own Self unto them, they disbelieved in Him, except those who had renounced the world and turned to God, the Lord of all men.

On Tribulations

He is the Exalted in the Most High Horizon
O thou Mím, hearken unto My voice and be not of them that tarry. Testify in thyself that there is none other god but Him, the Almighty, the All-Powerful. He doth as He willeth in His authority, and such as He pleaseth is verily His decree. He is not to be questioned as to what He doeth, and He is verily, the Omnipotent, the All-Informed.

A Prayer for Healing

My God, My God! I supplicate the kingdom of Thy mercy, I bow myself, in prayer, before the dominion of Thy sovereignty, and with a humble and contrite heart do I herewith call upon Thee, whilst turning to the court of Thy glory: O Lord, for this servant of Thine supplicating Thine exalted kingdom do Thou ordain healing; make him a sign amidst men of Thy mercy; and grant that he be purged of all affliction and malady, in such wise that he thank Thee for dispelling the darkness of sorrow, and for the bountiful effusion of Thy mercy, the abundance of Thy grace, the revelation of Thy compassion, and for healing every ill.

The City of Divine Unity

This is the City of the Divine Unity; enter therein, O ye who believe in God’s oneness, that by the tidings of the Spirit ye may be of them that see aright.

He is the Almighty, the One, the Exalted, the Sublime, the Incomparable.

These are the verses of the Book that have been set forth as a wonder—for there is no fault in the verses revealed by God—to be a means of guidance, illumination and remembrance unto all in the heavens and on earth. Herein is treasured that by which the people shall draw nigh to the court of manifest sanctity. It is verily a Book wherein every wise command is mentioned, and which hath been sent down in truth on the part of Him Who is the All-Wise, the Omniscient. Herein is that which shall render the people independent of all things, by which the fragrances of holiness suffuse the worlds, and from which it is proclaimed that there is no god but Him.

The Tablet of Holiness

This is the Tablet of Holiness, revealed to the Arabs who dwell in the City, and who believe in God, the Almighty, the Omnipotent, the Powerful.

The Almighty is He.

My Arabs, My loved ones, My chosen ones, My legions, My manifestation! Hearken unto My call, if ye be among them with ears to hear. Have ye forgotten the Songbird of the Cause who flew from amongst you and ascended unto God, the Cherished, the Beauteous? Have ye forgotten the Dove who was with you and warbled before you the verses of God, the All-Knowing, the Omniscient? Have ye veiled yourselves from this Nightingale held captive under the talons of the idolaters? By God, there hath befallen Me such as cannot be described or mentioned; for this have the tears of the near unto God fallen; because of this hath the Hoopoe of the Cause been deprived of the remembrance of Sheba, and the visages of the sanctified stained with blood. By God, the Nightingale of Paradise (Ridvan) hath shut His eyes to the charm of the rose, by reason of the sorrows having befallen this cherished and peerless Beauty. The rivers are cut off from joining the ocean, for joy is cut off from this shining, resplendent Sun.

Meditation on God’s Omnipotence

He is the Almighty

Praise be unto Him Who guideth whomsoever He willeth, and Who is verily the Incomparable, the All-Glorious, the Self-Subsistent. He doth verily reveal unto whomsoever He willeth whatsoever He pleaseth, and His command doth He indelibly inscribe upon a Tablet of inviolable glory. Knowledge doth He impart to whomsoever He willeth, and the same doth He withhold if He so desire. He is verily the Incomparable, the Exalted, the Beloved. Unto Him do all in the heavens and on earth submit, and all things are created at the word of His behest “be” and it is. He is the Lord of might and glory, of power and majesty, of grandeur and eternity. All are created at His command and supplicate His grace.

The Suffering of the Exalted Letters

He is that He is.

Glory be unto Thee, O Lord my God! How is the pen to write and the ink to flow, inasmuch as the gentle breezes of affection have been stilled, the daystar of the divine decree hath arisen from the horizon of fulfillment, the sword of tribulation hath been unsheathed from the scabbard of creation, the firmament of sorrow hath been upraised, and the arrows of hardship and the darts of trials have rained down from the clouds of fate, in such wise that the stars of joy in the hearts of Thy loved ones have fallen, every measure of happiness in the souls of Thy chosen ones hath been effaced, and successive tribulations have waxed so severe that no man hath the power to bear them, nor any soul the ability to withstand them. For the doors of hope have been slammed shut, the sweet-scented breezes of fidelity have ceased to waft, and the odours of extinction have been diffused.

Prayer for America

He is God

O my God, O Thou Who confirmest every just and equitable sovereignty in ever-abiding majesty, everlasting might, eternal continuance, inviolable stability, steadfastness and glory! By the bountiful effusion of Thy providential care, confirm every government that deals justly with its peoples, every sovereignty neath whose ensigns Thou shelterest the impoverished and the powerless.
